BROWNSBURG, Indiana — I hope everyone had a very wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend! Mine was pretty laid-back. My mom drove over from Bethalto (Ill.) to Indianapolis and cooked my brother and me a delicious, as always, Thanksgiving dinner. Our plan was to wake up early and take in some door-buster deals on Black Friday, but we opted to sleep in and shop later in the day, which the deals were just as good, thankfully. I woke up yesterday morning to a dusting of snow on my backyard deck and decided it was time to crawl back into my warm and toasty bed and then back to the grind today.

Ringers’ automotive sales manager Josh Baltimore and I are putting the finals touches on everything this week for the 21st annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., December 11-13. Be sure to stop by and see us during the show. Our booth is located in the North Hall, booth 2852.

Ringers’ racers didn’t fair too well during Turkey Night at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, as they failed to advance out of the qualifying races. However, one Ringers’ supporting drag racer went back to New York $42,000 richer.

Former Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series sportsman champion and bracket-racer extraordinaire Peter Biondo won the Ultimate Gambler race during the Las Vegas Bracket Nationals at The Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. He defeated the only back-to-back LODRS Super Comp champion and Ringers’ supporter Shawn Langdon. Biondo defeated Langdon with a 4.806-second/142.61 mph run to Langdon’s 4.893-second/135.37 mph run.

A couple sets of “congratulations” are in order. First is congratulation to 2008 Pro Stock Motorcycle and Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle champion Eddie Krawiec. Eddie and his fiancée Annemarie were married on Friday in New Jersey, where they both are from.

The next congratulation goes out to Dan Fisher, Purchasing Supervisor for Witmer Public Safety Group, which owns the firestore.com and offierstore.com. Dan proposed to longtime girlfriend, Lauren Stracuzzi, over the Thanksgiving weekend.
