SIMI VALLEY, California — While High Point Racing has been busy preparing for the 2009 Toyota All Star Showdown, Auto Club Late Model Champion Tim Huddleston has been busy working on building the 2009 HPR Driver Development team.

High Point Racing (HPR) is now accepting resumes for drivers for the 2009 Nascar Late Model season at Toyota Speedway of Irwindale.

"While we've been pretty fortunate to recieve some very talented drivers through recomendations of our sponsors Justice Brothers and Racecar Factory, this year we decided to open our program up to all young drivers," Huddleston said. "I'm excited to get in touch with all the talented drivers and to be able to offer them the equipment and development program that we've put together for 2009."

Now entering their fifth year as a driver development program, HPR has assembled NASCAR Late Model stock cars with the highest quality parts and highest standards in the industry. In the past four years, High Point Racing has proven to be the dominant team in the Auto Club Late Model division. HPR has earned the Rookie of the Year title in every attempt (no rookie was fielded in 2006). HPR has also won the Championship four years straight.

The 2006 champion, Travis Thirkettle has advanced to the Super Late division and now also provides an additional driver for on-track

driver coaching and pre-race testing. HPR also supplies race winning crew chiefs and an experienced crew to lead you to victory lane.

With the addition of Late Models to the Toyota All-Star Showdown, High Point Racing will recieve nationally televised exposure in one of the most competitive racing series' and most prestigious racetracks in the country. As top NASCAR executives have now nick-named the track the "Daytona of Short Track Racing" all eyes will be on the emerging talent at the west coast track.
